ISO 2678 QUERY
ISO 2678 QUERY
(OP)
Hi Guys,
I understand that ISO 2768-1 is a tolerancing standard for 'linear & angular dimensions'.
Why doesn't it cover radial and diameterical (spelling?) dimensions?
What standard should be referred to for radial dimensions?
Many thanks,
Andy.

ISO 2768-2, Geometrical tolerances for features without individual tolerance indications
What do you mean by "radial and diameterical dimesnions?"
ISO 2768-2 covers flatness, straightness, circularity, cylindricity, perpendicularity, symmetry, coaxiality, and circular run-out.
These are your form features that don't require datums and orientations that usually only reference one datum.

Well ISO-2678 relates to linear and angular dimensions. What if I have a circular bar with a diameter that I want to tolerance to the same standard?
The diameter dimension is not a linear dimension is it?
Thanks,
Andy.
