Concrete Pipe/Manhole Design

Concrete Pipe/Manhole Design

Concrete Pipe/Manhole Design

I am looking for some information (design manuals/books/websites) on concrete pipe and manhole design.  I am a recent college graduate and will be starting work the first of the year with a company who manufactures concrete pipes and manholes.  I'd like to be as knowledgeable as I can before I start.

I appreciate any help!

RE: Concrete Pipe/Manhole Design

I think that the best bet is to review the ASTM and AASHTO specifications for pipe manufacturing.  ASTM c76 and ASTM C361 are for concrete pipe.

If you can obtain the AASHTO standard specifications for Materials and Testing you will find much of the information you are looking for.

It may help to be familiar with the local and state requirements for pipe and manholes.
