Eberle PLS511
Eberle PLS511
(OP)
I am needing program reference manual for Eberle PLS511 in order to correctly convert code to AB SLC family products.
I am searching for Counter/Timer breakdown on a poorly documented ladder file. Please reply...

I would like any information that you can share since i do not have anything other than a 40 page manual, with examples.

This is probably a long shot but we are also trying to change from Eberle pls511 to Mitsubishi. We have the program in list and ladder form but are having trouble with the counter/timer sections as well! Does anyone know where we could get a copy of the manual that Rewire mentioned?
RE: Eberle PLS511
A couple of years back, i went through a process of converting the now GE supported PLS511 to type AB SLC 5/05.
I also had difficulties getting detailed information on the instruction sets for building the ladder rquivelents of Timers and Counters. Very reduced instruction set. I after contacting many avenues learned that the support leg for Eberle was through General Elictric in the US and they actually sold me a manual that helped me accomplish my goals at that time.
RE: Eberle PLS511
I dont suppose you still have the manual do you!?
I am loathe to buy a manual for something which i am going to bin eventually, but if thats what i have to do......

RE: Eberle PLS511
I would have to dog through piles of archives to find it thats provided I didn't leave with the customer for his use. I can understand the feelings that you have regarding it. However, the best I can recall about the manual was that GE sold it to me for 50 bucks or so. Since I've been working in the industry fo about 30 years and I had only ran across 1 system that had these units at a printing press company and I didn't feel that I would ever encounter the need again. If I stumble across it I will let you know right back. The unit is just a small brick that had like 6 instructions that you combined to derive more advanced logic very much like a boolean op with One shots and latches. The manual for me was very necessary.

RE: Eberle PLS511
The main problem we have is that an instruction ( or 770 + Carry instruction ) keeps cropping up in various sections of programming but it does not appear in the ladder diagram!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
