I have seen a note in one of the forums (fora?) about an error in UCS-56 of 2004 edition of ASME VIII Div.1. Unfortunately I could not trace that information so I place this note for all my coleagues.

The PWHT for P1 material shall be 1100°F not 1200°F as specified. ASME is apparently intending to issue an addendum or errata on the subject.

RE: ASME VIII DIV 1 P1 PWHT (UCS-56)

There are notes on several websites concerning the error.  The 1100°F is the requirement not the 1200°F stated in the code.
I haven’t  checked the ASME site but here is a reference to the error at Hartford.

The problem with P10B material, which PWHT temperature is apparently also erroneously altered, is that, the code shows the "04" revision on the margin against that material.
