The leather shavings is a solid waste produced during the tanner of hides. This waste contains chromiun (harzadous waste). I would like to know if does exist any technology to recorevy and reuse this waste, avoiding the disposal on harzadous waste landfill.

WE in argentina have several tanning plants that recover Chromiun as a valuable by product from tannery wastes.

we have organic extract to melt leather. we have already done this by treating it with our liquid solution. what we do is put it in a processor with the solution and melt it in 30 minutes. The resulting by-product is a liquid organic fertlizer.The solution can be use as disinfectant,deodorizer and decomposer
