Folks,

On occasion, when opening models on my laptop, all you get is a blank blue screen. I tried updating the graphics card, rolling back my system with System Restore to a previous date, and re-installing CATIA. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Peter

RE: Blue Screen V5

What type of laptop?  Is it supported?  What Release level?
Is it specific to a type of document (CATPart, CATProduct, CATDrawing....)?
Is the problem only on the laptop (ie, can it be reproduced on a workstation?)

Thanks for the reply KooKoo

- hp compaq nw8000
- CATIA V5R12 sp2
- problem occurs when opening any existing file or creating a new file
- problem occurs only on my laptop, I've never seen it before

Thanks,
Peter

RE: Blue Screen V5

Which video driver are you using?  This is the one listed on the CATIA Hardware Certification page:
http://www.catia.com/your_catia/html/hwnt2.htm#Compaq
ATI
Mobility FireGL T2
Driver: 7.93.4.1-031006A1-011638C-HP
Also try renaming the CATSettings folder so CATIA starts up with default settings.

Thanks KooKoo!
