We are involved in a design project that involves determining the capacity of an existing roof deck material. According to the drawings the decking is composed of a 3" thick zonatile roof decking material. The building was constructed in 1960.

Does anyone out there have any information as to its load capacity, as well as what it is made of?

Thanks

The drawings show it spelled as "zonatile"

Never heard of that. Zonolite was a light weight insulating concrete roofing material that was placed over steel deck and roof slopes were formed by adding insulation boards.

I searched the internet, and did not find anything.
