I am a "single workstation" engineer and was wondering if anyone has used the following programme. I can't afford, for my personal use, to spend thousands for SlopeW or others.
Fixed earth, geostru is the absolutely popular slope software in Italy (the developers are Italian) and I too use it. It's very reasonably priced and well known by now. A reasonable objection against the use of more costly software is that too often the quality of the data at disposal is not such to justify the added cost. Unless the main activity is slope analysis on big projects.
There is another very good software which is free and pretty sophisticated in some aspects but it's presently available only in Italian, English and spanish translations are under way though.
