WPS qualification under AWSd14

we are going to qualify a wps for welding weldox 960 , we will be welding from 1 side (GMAW) and want to use copper backing , I can't find anything in AWS that precludes that , any thoughts, i assume we should use the copper backing on the WPS test sample .

Nothing is better than replicating the actual welding conditions when qualifying the WPS.
