I'm looking into getting some new workstations for medium to high-end CAD work. I currently have 8Gb RAM a FX3800 1Gb card and a quad core Xeon E5410 Processor (2.33Ghz).
I use Solidworks.
What is thought to be the best processor out there at the moment? Is 6 core the way to go?
I'm thinking of 12Gb Ram with 2 Gb graphics but the processors are beyond my knowledge.
