Working with Multiple Projects

My question is if there is an efficient way to schedule multiple projects in MS Project all with different start and finish dates all with different deliverables.

For example I have 15 projects going on at one time. Let’s say I have everything scheduled out perfect to maximize my resources across every project.

What happens if one of my deliverables gets pushed back? Can MS project account for this and automatically adjust all 15 projects? or do I have to do this manually every time by going through all 15 projects and tweaking it? Because if one deliverables is set back it effects everything after that in the perspective timeline across the entire 15 projects since I’m using the same resources.

Project changes often happen on a daily basis. Is MS project the right program for this kind of schedule/tracking?

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Why are you asking this about Project?

Linked events occur based on your linking causes to effects.

If your events are not properly linked, how is Project going to read your mind to figure out what should be slipped?

As is often the case with MS programs, there are probably others which can do a better job, depends how much you want to pay.

Check Create a dependency between tasks in a project in the Help files. Basically you open the projects which need to be linked, arrange them so that they can be viewed, then use Task Information to link tasks between different projects.

did you try to create a master project and insert all your projects in? you can easly manage and level your resource from this file

If one project can affect another one, I think it would be better to combine these two projects into one big project.
