wood screw thread rolling dies

is it possible to make different lengths of wood screws using the same thread rolling die?
 
This is probably not feasible, wood screw threads are a taper shape like pipe threads, unless of course you can live with more unthreaded shank.
 
rolling threads in wood is not practical due to the fibrous structure. every wood thread I've ever seen has been machined.
