You might try doing a web search or a search of this forum. There has been quite a bit of discussion on this lately.
Special cables with multiple ground conductors or shielding are often recommended to reduce RFI coming from the high frequency components of the VFD output waveform. A good ground conductor is essential. Okonite C-L-X metalclad cable now comes standard with three ground conductors and makes an excellent cable for VFD to motor applications - there may be others that are similar.
Some type of metallic conduit or shielding is strongly advised and signal circuits should be routed away from this feeder to the extent possible.
