I am in need of some ammunition to take to argue a case that for an industrial facility the owner should NOT even consider using wire basket as a raceway for their catwalk lighting circuits. The owner is trying to think of other methods to save money to this catwalk lighting than the traditional conduit approach. They had me evaluate 4" Channel and channel lost now they would like to investigate wire basket. I don't have a problem getting pricing, but I wanted to hear from experts in industrial facilities that this option even if more cost effective would be steered clear from by people that have experience in heavy industry.

Thanks

Basket is a useful idea for data cabling within buildings, but I wouldn't use it externally in an industrial facility. I'm not a conduit fan either, but that's more a Europe / US thing. We like armoured / braided cable instead. [smile]
