Hello Friends,

I have till date worked on Windows machines. But now we are going to switch to Unix.

I want to know where shouldthe config.pro, config.win, *.dtl (configuraion files) should be stored. Is the mechanism same as in windows. Like the default working dirs.

Can i use my window config files in Unix machine? How can i create different shortcuts to different working dirs, So that the respective config files are loaded. Which we do for different customers.

I hope the mapkeys will work as they do in Windows.

Waiting for your Suggestions.

Many more suggestions are wellcome.

I don't think there will be any change regarding ProE.

Pro/E was Unix before there was Windoze. Only difference you will see is in the conversion of ascii text files which have an extra carriage return that should be stripped out. Most networks handle this automatically these days but there are always handy little utilities to do it manually.

You must be the only place on earth going from Windoze to Unix, especially with the advent of 64 bit Windoze hardware and software which was the only real justification left to use Unix. Can you tell us why?
