I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled SWorks, and for some reason I don't have the right-click SWorks Explorer options (Pack and Go, Rename, etc.) in my Windows Explorer. Is there some place to turn it on in SWorks? How can I get that functionality back?

Thanks for you input!

SolidWorks 2008

Shut Down SolidWorks

1. Select the windows Start button and then select "Run"
2. Type in CMD
3. In the command prompt perform a change directly command:
Type this: CD C:\Program Files\Common Files\SolidWorks Shared
4. Once the directory has been changed then type the following command:
regsvr32 sldshellutils8u.dll
5. Hit the Enter Key
6. See a dialog box informing that the .dll have been successfully registered
7. Restart SolidWorks
8. Retest the issue

Registering the sldshellutils8u.dll didn't do the trick. Thank you for the quick reply...

Could eDrawings have something to do with this? When I first installed SolidWorks, all of my icons for SW part/assy/drw were eDrawing icons. I had to change them to SW icons (manually). Could eDrawing still have some sort of control on my files?

try registering this one instead sldwinshellextu.dll

It's one of the dll's in that folder
