Is it possible to mold a thermoset to a thermoplastic with actual bonding occurring? This would be in a situation where mechanical interlocking was woefully neglected.

You could cure a thermoset like epoxy onto many types of thermoplastic and get good adhesion. You could melt a thermoplastic onto a thermoset but I would not expect good adhesion in that case due to lack of chemical bonding and proper wetting.

Curing would be the way to go - I definitely need optimum adhesion. Thanks for your advice!
