Wildfire 5 "memory error"

I have been working with two large assemblies for the past 7 months or so and have been having some major memory problems while working on them. There are occasions where I can't even open them. When I can open them, even things such as switching sheets in a drawing causes a "Memory error" and kicks me out. I'd never run into this issue in any earlier releases of ProE. Is it possible that this is a Wildfire issue? A hardware issue? A terrible modeling practice issue?
