which standard shall be applied and suitable for Foot Valve?

Recently, I take part in a water pump station project and select the foot valve for this project, which is applied at inlet of centrifugal pump, in order to prevent foreign material in water from entering the pump. And the foot valve is not often adopted at Petroleum Project, usually used in the water project, so I am not familiar with it, who can inform me which standard is applied for this valve?
