This might a very common contruction detail.
On a steel skid mainly supporting a building has an exposed portion to work as a platform. The building floor is covered by 1/4" plate, while the platform is by 1 1/4" serrated grating. If I do nothing, this is a 1" hurdle at the door (interface of grating and plate).
What is the typical solution? Shim the plate up all around? The base steel beams are on the same elevation (done with continuous beams).
Thanks
