My question is what type of sealant could I use to seal the wheels on my motorcycle where the spokes go thru the rim.
Spokes wheels require a intertube I want make the wheel tubeless ,reason being a tube type tire will have a violent blow out ending in injury, where as a tubeless is much my likely not to do that.
Been there done that.

PS It has been done just can't find the correct sealnat
Thanks in advance

Something you might try is Butyl Rubber Tape.
It is sold in RV stores, Electrical shops, Mobile Home Supplies.
It comes under all type names like Peel and Stick, Sealing Tape, Butyl Tape, Sticky Tape.

There also Architectural and Industrial Grades that are use for seam sealing and pipe wrap.

Good quality vinyl tapes might also work if coated with a sealer (3M).

Thanks

yea I heard of that but a little leary of that process, I heard there was a two part sealant that you spread over the entire inside spoke area to get a complete seal.

I just can't seem to find it.

That is probably a Urethane or Epoxy material. Most likely a Urethane.
I'll look around to see if anything fits the bill.

At one time we used rubber cement, no longer available, to glue the rubber band that covered the spokes to prevent chafing of the inner tube to the rim proper. One problem we saw on the early rims is that the the bead area wasn't configured to carry a tubeless tire.

here is part of an article I read on it course I don't have clue as to what the material is>

Company has developed a solution for fans of spoked, fat wheels. By using a top-secret, spage-age polysulfide, which is a blend of polyurethane and sulfides, take any spoke wheel and seal it so that mounting a tubeless tire is a cinch.
