i m in the final semester of BE civil and i had lot of interest in desig feild, basically my question is should i go for m tech or not, also i had done cad, revit, robot, cad civil,, as i m new to this field ur suggestion are highly welcomed... thanks

For your future professional reputation, learn to proof your work, check your spelling, use capitals, use full sentences when required, and use phrases when required.

I assume that you are asking if it is worthwhile to pursue a masters degree in civil engineering.

My answer is that it is increasingly more common for a engineering professional to have a master degree. The masters degree should be in the specialty in which you desire to practice.

Are you a student member of ASCE. If not, you should be. Then you can meet with practicing engineers and see where the jobs are. It may be that professors can help, but if they have not worked in the real world, they may not know much of what is really out there. So in getting a masters. it would help to know that the time and that branch is worth the effort. Also having the ASCE membership on your resume can help.


ditto to the comments by Racookbe. You have to be able to communicate intelligently. If your basic language is not English, you need to work on that now also in any country these days.
