What product should I use to polish transparent plastic

Hello,

I was thinking of adding a new service (repairing plastic screens for hand videogame consoles like Gameboy) to my computer shop.

If anyone could help me, I would like to know what product could I use and how to apply it.

I have no idea what type of plastic it is, but it's soft when I press it.

I polish plastic car headlights with 800 grit, followed by 1200 grit followed by 2000 grit wet n dry done wet, then followed by a bodyshop cutting compound then followed by a cleaner polish then followed by a finishing polish. Works fine, but that's on a silane treated polycarbonate surface. I expect the same would work on acrylic or untreated PC. Softer plastics like PP might be a problem though.

Thanks for the answer, but I am afraid this will not help me since it is pretty different from a car headlight. I just hope I get an answer since I don't know where to start.

Actually, probably it is not. They are both most likely polycarbonate and both most likely have a scratch resistant surface treatment. They feel different because one is around 3mm thick and has some shape to it to help reinforce it and the other is a very thin sheet, probably in the order of 0.5mm so as to make it flexible.

Since I don't know anything about plastic I can reach wrong conclusions/assumptions like the one I just did. Thank you very much for the clarification and most of all, for the specific details about the explanation. It was of great help. I will go ahead and try what you adviced me.
