What code for stainless steel welding?

hi Folks

Could anyone help me find a code that specifies welding procedures, welder qualification and defect acceptance criteria for 316 stainless steel.

Codes don't generally specify welding procedures. But ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and API 650 are two standards that include stainless steel.
 
For structural applications AWS D1.6 can be used for guidance, containing prequalified WPS', welder qualification, and acceptance/reject criteria.
