what are the full specifications I should ask for to purchase a correct ball valve?

My questions seems to be silly but what I mean is that now wen need a 26" ball valve full bore class 300 carbon steel what other specs considered important I should ask for?

Figure out what code you want to make it to (API 6D, ASME B 16.34 etc) then follow that.

Or look at the data sheet in API6D and fill it in (can be used for valves to any code)

OR ask a vendor to send you his blank data sheet for you to fill in?

You've not given us much to go on so the answer isn't great either....

Remember - More details = better answers

OK. So now you have found the necessary codes and regulaitons you have to satisfy.

The most open next step is to set up a full verbal descriptopn of the application (all fluid and flow data, all situations, operational details, opening and closing times, way of operation, numberof operations over time, expected operational time without service, and then ask for a preliminary bid, including (of course) description of all details. Do not forget the trix of asking for suggestions for upped performance valu /better quality valve, at higher cost as an alternative.

If you are not an experiences tgopo expert (none uf us are all the time, for all solutions) it is always better to describe what you want a machine to do, than to try to describe the details of the machine!
