Any one know NaOCl and H2S oxidizing React?on time ?I w?ll use th?s data Wet bed scrubber.Thank you

I read the thread too and question why use NaOCl? there are lots of non toxic processes to remove H2S, safe easy to use, no experimental reaction times to generate.

montaigne1:

If you are talking about removing fairly large amounts of H2S from a gas stream, the most widely used method is by using an amine treating unit. See this website for a process flow sheet and process description:

If you are talking about removing small amounts of H2S from a wastewater stream, you could could consider dosing the stream with hydrogen peroxide, ozone, or potassium permanganate.

There are Fe3O8 reactions the form FeS.

The Iron oxide will not remove (react) with anything other than H2S.
