Hello for all at first , i have a confusing welding issue which lead me know this website here then become a member the matter made me more than happy to hear and learn from you all .
Box columns (6mm thick , steel 37 ) of a shelter service area( accomodtation units ) supposed to be directly over welding zone and HAZ as well . Is there any problem may result afterthen by load and fixing the bolts by magnetic drill to connect the seat pads of these columns to the steel sheets .
I 've another problems come from non leveling if these coulmns fixing over this connecting welmdent are ( directly above the weldment cap )
Is it allowed to cut through the corner between a vertical and horizontal members due to change in dimension or its better yo cut through either the middle or another except corner areas?
I would be thankful for any engineer would help me
