Hi everyone.

I would like to know if there is any code, standard or bibliography that can help to evaluate the integrity of the body of valves.
We are performing NDT in the body of many valves and have found a lot of indications, small cracks using MP test.

I don't know if tehre is any reference that can say if theya are acceptable or not.

Thanks in advance.
Regards

API-574 Inspection Practices for Piping System Components, is a good start which will also refer you to other API standards that are more specific.

There is also the National Board (USA) NB-23 Series which is a practice to follow.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

ASME B16.34 Appendix II defines the method and acceptance criteria for magnetic particle inspection of valve bodies.

Thanks for your help guys... That is ecxactly what I was looking for!
