Wave Wall Conveyor

Does anyone have any suggestions how to create a wave wall conveyor in Pro/e?


The straight section is easy, its around the head and tail pulleys is where the problem is.

Try VSS as a surface and thicken as needed. The thicken feature does increase regen time however. Attached is a WF2 sample

I never new this was possible using VSS.


The only part I dont understand is how did the wave wall get formed?

In VSS>edit definition, select the sketch and then view the relations in the sketcher. They drive the 'frequency' and amplitude of the wave. The specific variables I used were 'Waves' and 'HalfWaveHeight'. Those drive the sd5 dimension.

I had done something similar to this a long time ago and just had to tweak and play with it a couple times to get it just right. Unfortunatley I never really keep a library of these things, but I do sometimes make example modelsshowing specific features that I save in an 'Example Models' folder.The models only have enough features to remind me how to do something since I forget things rather quickly! Alot of these ideas and models are coming from other members of this Forum. In fact I am now trying to make one or two with raised text examples around a cone.


Our company provided training through Rand and Cadquest and the supplied books have had some good examples in them. And if not exactly what'sneeded just experiment with all the options tosee what they do. I did that with VSS; just made some trajectories and then tried different sections and about every option available to just see what happens. I guess the main way I learn this is by making LOTS of mistakes
