water eng., Depends upon what State or Nation you reside in. Here in Illinois there are various classes of License issued by the State depending on the type of treatment process's involved. Like the PE Exam, one is required to show academic credentials as well as number of years of experience, then the State will allow you to take the License exam (it's pass/fail).
