Wanted a recommendation for a software program where i can model electric lights, multi-contact relays, switches, and a limited mechanical system that opens / closed these switches.

This would facilitate the discovery of any conflicting or unexpected operations ie: shorts or 'locked' operations.

ie: the ideal program should be able to simulate the old fashioned electro-mechanical Pinball machines of the 1970's era !

Thank in advance
Ed

Math Model it in TK Solve. Then build VB interface or put on the web.

Do you have one concrete problem or do you want a generally
useful model? For similkar simple problems I usually use
GWBASIC -- if it is too slow, compile it with TURBO-

I agree (nearly) - on a modern PC QBASIC or QuickBasic runs so fast even in interpreted mode that it is useful for all sorts of tasks - even fourier transforms.
