Waler - Compression Strut Connection

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing what is typical for a compression strut connection to a waler when the strut is coming in at angle or even when it is level.

I was thinking that the strut would be HSS either square or circular and when it is level it would connect to (2) channel walers. How much field welding vs bolting is typically expected? Location would be midwest USA or really anywhere USA.
