I am trying to figure out the volumetric expansion of a 4" 150 psi petroleum hose per psi on water. I am working on uncertainties in our liquid calibration lab and need to take into account the 15 ft hose for the connecting volume in our calibration loop. Can anyone help?

You need to find the elastic modulus of your particular pipe.

Ask the vendor / search out a data sheet.

Or test a section.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Why don't you just pressure up the hose to 150psig with water and measure how much water it took to do it.

Reaction to change doesn't stop it :-)
