Gentlemen,
I am in a foriegn location and without access to my normal hard copy resources (which in this case would probably be the GPSA manual). I am looking for an internet reference for calculating the volume of partially filled horizontal and vertical vessels with different type heads. This is for start-up and operating solvent inventory calculations. What would be most useful is an excel addin with functions that could take the appropriate arguements and convert level to volume. Otherwise I would like to be pointed to a program, formulas, or a set of data tables.
I previously made a post on this question to which there were two replies, but which the management deleted (or lost) and will not respond as to why. Presumably either the fact I mentioned Excel in the title raised a flag to EngTips, or one of you was abusive in your response (which I doubt). In any event I am involved in serious work and would very much like to get that information again.
Thanks,
sshep
