Hello there,
I'm a student trainee in Refinary Plant as an corrosion engineer.
My mentor asked me to look for the compatability of Vinly Ester coating(Interline 1064) for Jet Fuel Vessel (Jet A-1 US-Standard)
The Jet A-1 product are off spec. and we are investigating the causes of this circumstance.
We suspect that the coating might be removed and contaminate into the product.
any comments & suggestion would be very appreciated.
Thank you
The spec.of Interline 1064 states:
A two component, heavy duty, abrasion resistant, glass flake reinforced vinly ester coating.
The spec. of Jet A-1
Acidity, Total (mg KOH/g) Max. 0.10
Aromatics (vol %) Max. 25
Sulphur, Total (wt %) Max. 0.30
Sulphur, Mercaptan (wt %) Max. 0.003
Freezing Point (°C) (5) Max. -47 C
Viscosity @ -20°C Max. 8.0
Thanks Again.
