If we're talking about a Drawing 'view' with one of the components displayed as 'translucent', no, that's not supported.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
 
If you're talking about an actual shaded Drawing view, you're correct. Of course, you could add an 'image' which captured the display of a partially translucent model.
