Hello All,

There is a 10" SDV connected inline on a 12" header with Natural Gas service.

I would like to know how to calculate the resultant forces acting on the valve thus deeming the amount of pipe supports are necessary for safe operation.

Thanks.

draw it out and then look at where ther are forces from, weight, movement, thermal expansion, thrust loads, loads from accidental loads or running into the piping. The list goes on.
