I have a passion for signal analysis and flute playing.

My flute maker intends to market some new tubes and I
want to measure their vibration qualities.

I could mount a head joint on one of these tubes and
produce a sound. This sound could be recorded and I
could do an acoustic analysis.

But I would like to also say something about the quality
of the tube vibration by some means.

I tried to download a Finite Element Analysis tool only
to learn that it could not handle tubes as sound
emitters.

Any wild ideas appreciated.

(I posted a similar question just before on another
thread that spoke about energy in pure tone vibration
- sorry )
