I hope this is the correct forum for this - while this is not a technical question, I cannot see where else it would fit.

Any suggestions for finding a qualified inspector for field equipment? I previously worked for in a long-established field office, and we had a legacy list of inspectors we used to evaluate the work of new vendors fabbing our production units, tanks, etc. I am now the only Facilities Engineer in a brand new office and do not have any contacts in my new basin. Any suggestions for finding a good inspector? Unless I am mistaken, these are usually contracted individuals, not firms. And I can't find them in the yellow pages...

You don't specify your geographic location.

In the UK I'd be on the phone to DNV, Lloyds, BV or other third party inspection companies. They have extensive presence so may be located near you.
