I took the FE exam yesterday and am very confident that I passed. I've been out of school and working for a year. Does the year that I've been working prior to taking the FE count towards my 4 years of experience required for the PE? I know I should probably check what my state says about this but I was just wondering if anyone knew.

Hmmm...I think you'd better check with your board...not so sure it does. I seem to remember seeing some wording in some state's requirements that mandate "after" the EIT status is achieved.

Depends on the state. In some states you can take both exams in the same weekend (not my idea of a really fun time).

Yeah, you better check the actual state board. I live in PA and it says something along the lines of "4 years of experience AFTER recieving EIT". It used to not be like that though. I think they recently changed that rule. You used to be able to take the FE and PE exams at the same time if you wanted.
