Hi All,
Could some one help me on this:
I have to design a vertical S.S Tank,12'dia. 48'H With plain & inclined S.S Bottom not on the floor but with skirt.
my question is:
API 650 as Standard dont cover this case, it deal only with flat bottom on Floor, which standard can I use to calculate thicknesses?.

I think to make plate form ( plain C.S plate with gusset and pipe on center all welded to skirt in order to support the gravity of product stored ), then I can use a very thin thk of S.S bottom sheet.

Please give me your opinion.

Regards.

Refer to API Standard 620 for the design equations for a suspended cone bottom.
