ver 15 surface plots don't work 2

I'm running version 15 on Windows 7. I notice from a couple of years back other users have had trouble with surface plots but what seemed to work for those users (toggling the borders on/off) has no effect so I'm stuck. It's not my doing either; the quicksheet examples are not plotting. I just get blank panes. Thanks in advance for any ideas. I have not contacted PTC tech support.

PTC believes that customers should pay for bug fixes (the bugs that the customers pay dearly to find for them free of charge, they do a lousy job checking new versions and we are to blame)!!!!

Therefore, to get help or fix updates you need to purchase a yearly maintenance.

As long as we the customers will continue to ignore this behavior, we will all suffer. I urge Mathcad users to stay with their old versions and refuse to upgrade to a new version until PTC will change it ways and policy.

I my self own legal copies of Mathcad 2000, 2001, Ver 12, Ver 14 upgrade and even versions prior to 2000. For most of my work I use 2000 because I do not have the hassle of installation when I need to replace my computer and have no backward compatibility issues. Therefore, I'll stick with Windows XP as long as it lives.

I go along with israelkk. I use Ver 13 and probably will never upgrade. As I understand it the new Prime versions will not be downwardly compatible below Ver 15. If I want to use any of my hundreds of existing workbooks, I would have to buy Ver 15 and take the time to convert all of the workbooks to Ver 15 and then convert them to Prime. I'll just keep Ver 13 which works under XP or Vista. If I have to upgrade to an OS that isn't compatible with Ver 13, then I'll have to figure out what to do. I'll probably change to Matlab or Mathematica before buying whatever version of Prime exists at the time.

I did boot into safe mode and the surface plots started working, with what I would call questionable quirks, such as wacky background pixelation occasionally, but it is usable.

You could try SMath Studio and show your support to this fantastic project. I have recently started using it and having used MathCAD about 5 years ago, it is very similar from what I remember.
