hello, I am having a problem with a vss code. the engine is a 1996 4.9l ford installed in a 1984 ford f150. the pcm came from a f150 with a 5 speed manual trans. the transmission I have is 4 speed aod. I have replaced the vss and checked the wireing for continuity.I removed the pcm to check the connector and when I reinstalled and restarted the engine the light was out. after about 10 miles te light came back on. is the engine running in limited op.mode? it runs verry strong but gets poor mpg.(11-12).any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!
