VBA in Access ID problem

Im trying to make the ID of one form apear in my next form after clecking an 'open form' button. It needs to be dummy proof so customers cant acidently move onto the wrong ID number, or be able to change that ID number. And allso I want to be able to see previous data entry if you use an existing ID number from first form.
