Halo there,

I'm not using SE18 for a long time and I have run into a following problem:

I would like to show in the Part list in the drawing an actual volume of the particular part. There are a lot of specs to show, but not the volume. Anybody any ideas?

I tried to do it throuh variable table and exposing some variable, but how to get the volume there? I noticed, that when you first open a variable table, there are some variables waiting for you already, like accuracy and density? How did it get there?

Thanks

ig

Hi,

no it's not available in a parts list. The volume is
available for a callout, however.
The variables you mentioned are already set within the
normal.par/.psm

Thanks, but is there a way to edit, what will show in the variable table? I mean is there a similar way to retrieve the volume information as the density information in the variable table?

Igod,

neither volume nor mass is available as variable within
the variables table :-(
All variables in that table will be created either automativcally
during construction or can be defined by user say you
would have a var called MyLen and set it to 1.00. Then
you could set a dimension variable to that value by just
specify the name of your variable in the formula column
