Variable Speed Gearbox - Voith Vorecon

Through rotating Engg fraternity, we came to know that some modifications / upgradations have been incorporated in vorecon after some incident at an installation somewhere in Thailand.

Can some one throw some light on these modifications/upgradations?

We are working on a project proposal with this machine.

I don't have any information about this problem, but someone at Suncor might:

"...Suncor currently operates a number of Voith Vorecon variable speed planetary type RWE11F6 gearboxes that are used in conjunction with boiler feed pumps at the FireBag facility in Alberta..."

Voith claims that the mean time between failures for the Vorecon is 48 years.
