Using VBA to automate saving and deleting and/or numbering files

I'm very new to using SolidEdge although I find it almost as intuitive and user friendly as SolidWorks, which I am used to.

My question is this...

Can I use VBA to save a file in it's native SolidEdge format and save it as a *.pdf - and at the same time automatically choose the filename based on the part number or some other attribute?

Also, is there a handy internet reference or collection for VBA and SolidWorks/SolidEdge?

I've only breifly used SolidEdge but I have a lot of time on SolidWorks. Go to

and you sould be able to find some more information for SolidWorks anyway - I'm guessing, but I'd bet the SolidEdge website has some links for what your looking for as well.
