Hello Everyone,
I have a simple spring mass system representing a landing gear of an aircraft. The landing gear has a composite tube which absorbs energy on impact in a crash situation. Now, I have the load-deflection characteristics of the landing gear which is a highly nonlinear curve (as shown in attached image). How can I convert this curve into a stiffness equation which can be used in the general equation of motion to find the displacement?
Thanks,
David
