I'm using I-DEAS 10, and I want to set a single variable (e.g. width=10) for the rest of my dimensions and features will to reference for easy revisions down the road. This way I could change the design based on this variable simply by changing it. Is this possible?

I know I've done something similar in the past with Pro/E (parameters) and UG, but I can't seem to figure it out in I-DEAS.

Create the feature using a normal numeric dimension, then select "Part Equations". Within this window declare your variable and its' value ie.

width=10|mm|

Then replace the numeric value for the operation(s) with the variable name.
