Hi

can ayone advise on the use of ferrules when terminating,

Apparently in EN60204 is mentions about the means of retaining conductor strands,

so if we were terminating to a contactor say, would you use a ferrule to conform to EN60204 ?

thanks

yes crimp on wire ferrules satisfy that requirement you listed.

What size contactor? What size conductor? What brand of contactor?

My point is that some contactor terminals themselves may satisfy the requirement and if you use ferrules, the standard terminals on the contactor may not be designed for them. You really need to check on a case by case basis. Every contactor mfr I know of will provide you with the required data.
